Itinerary Inspiration: Our Adriatic Adventure

Adriatic Tour - © Longing to Travel
My husband and I have spent the last year living and working in Turkey as English teachers…and we’ve loved every minute of it! But the adventure isn’t over just because our contracts are.

We’ve got a lot in store for our post-Turkey lives. Before heading back home to the USA, we’ve got a few trips planned. The first is an Adriatic tour of Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. While most of this two-week, Adriatic tour is for pleasure, we end our tour in Milan, Italy where I’ll partake in another research seminar.

I’m combining travel and professional development in hopes of continuing my journey towards a successful career without giving up my passion for exploration.

Right now, we’re scouring the web for tips, tricks and secrets for touring the Adriatic Sea. Should we travel by bus, car or ferry between Dubrovnik and Split? Should we stay in hostels or rent a room from a local? Should we spend more time in unknown Slovenia or in world-renowned Venice? Only time will tell, so stay tuned to learn more about our plans and experiences. And as always, thanks for reading!
