California-bound…..and its colder than expected! (Part 3)

And now we get to Saturday….the BIG day. All weekend we had been wondering if the weather would cooperate so that we’d be able to witness the special moment in the Four Season’s beautiful Escala Garden. When we woke up, the clouds had rolled in and it was raining. Yuck! But we were still hopeful.

ImageChris was in the wedding party so after we grabbed a quick breakfast from Jeannine’s Restaurant & Bakery, Chris headed off to do his groomsmen duties and I joined a few other friends for a lovely lunch at Lucky’s. We arrive for lunch and were greeted with friendly people and outstanding service. Our waiter was a very pleasant and energetic man who helped make our brunch  a great experience. I can personally recommend the Lucky Burger (I got it made with turkey) and fries…as well as their onion rings.Image

Several hours later, we boarded the trolley again and were excited to join the other wedding guests OUTSIDE for one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies I have ever witness. The music, the venue, the weather (now sunny, with blue skies)…everything was just perfect.

[We don’t have any pictures from the reception, but we’ll add them once we can get our hands on some!]

Sunday was sad as we said our goodbyes to both old and new friends. It was a magical weekend and we are so grateful to have been a part of it.
