California-bound…..and its colder than expected! (Part 2)

Friday morning, before we checked out of the Montecito Inn, we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast bar which included coffee, tea, fruits, yogurt, cereal, juice, granola bars and an assortment of pastries.

After breakfast, we headed to our next hotel, The Coast Village Inn. This hotel was more of a motel-type hotel, but nonetheless, it was clean and cozy. We dropped off our bags and immediately headed out to downtown Santa Barbara. What an adorable downtown area. With palm tree-lined streets, Spanish architecture and beautiful tile-work, we enjoyed an afternoon of shopping, getting a manicure (Pouneh only!) and having a fantastic burger and lobster mac’n’cheese at Longborad’s Grill on Stearns Wharf. After several hours of exploration, we headed back to our hotel to prepare for the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour.

After a short rehearsal at the Escala Garden at the Four Seasons Biltmore, we took a trolley to downtown Santa Barbara and headed to the 6th floor of the Canary Hotel where we treated to appetizers, cocktails and most impressive, a view of the city at the Rooftop Perch. Although it was a bit chilly, the hotel staff did everything they could to make our evening comfortable. Shortly after, we headed to a private party room we were served a lovely meal. Following the rehearsal dinner filled with great speeches, delicious foods and a few tears, we headed back up to the 6th floor to meet with other wedding guests to continue the night with a view of the town, bellies full of food and our hearts filled with love and happiness.

And so we ended another great day in Santa Barbara. How are we going to say goodbye to this city on Sunday?
